Onovo is the coming together of two family-founded businesses:
Born from the merger of two respected family-run businesses—DDC Fitout & Design, led by brothers Ashley and Kris Gardiner, and SM Woodwork, founded by Stuart Malcolm—Onovo is the coming together of generations of knowledge, craftsmanship, and care.
Our story begins with the Gardiner family, whose journey in Shop fitting started in 1971, when David and Mary Gardiner first opened their workshop doors. That legacy of commitment to excellence was proudly passed down to their sons and is now deeply embedded in everything we do at Onovo.
Stuart Malcolm brought with him a rich heritage of his own, rooted in engineering expertise, workshop innovation, and a deep understanding of how things are made and how they last. Together, this partnership formed a powerful foundation: a company built on respect for the craft, and a shared belief: that spaces should be more than functional, they should inspire.
Today, Onovo combines over 70 years of collective experience, creating high-end interiors for commercial, hospitality, retail, and residential clients across Ireland.
